World growth may be slowing but this slowing needs to be kept in perspective. Growth of 3½% is still stronger than in 2001, 2002 and 2003. In 2001, global growth more than halved to only 2.1%.
House price inflation is slowing in some countries. US house prices fell by 16% over the year to April (Case Schiller Index); and UK house prices were down by 6% over the year to May (Halifax Index).
